“He insisted that we have dinner at his backyard that night. There were tulips everywhere. My favourite tunes played in the background. He was allowing me to have chocolate for the first time in a long time. I took some time to soak it all in. As I turned to ask him what the occasion was, I noticed, for the first time, a gold ring peeking from underneath the bar of chocolate…”
A month later, I was panicking like crazy because I released I would be to be getting married very soon and the only thing I was certain about as at then was the wedding date. Then my mind goes back to that night when I was gliding peacefully on cloud nine.
Geez! And I thought it was gonna be easy. Where do I start?
Most of us get this way when the ‘big date is set’. What is worse is when you probably have this uncompromising boss who is always on your neck, barely giving you a breathing space. “Oh, never mind” he says, “After all, you do have at least a week off before the wedding”, which is a very generous offer, if you ask him. (seriously?).
Have you considered getting a wedding planner?
He (or she J) basically handles the entire wedding for you and all you have to do is to show up and look pretty on the wedding day. Nice, isn’t it?
Here are some tips that makes it a good idea to have a wedding planner!
It takes the LOAD off your head.
A wedding planner is tasked with handling everything you might have had to do on your own, freeing you up for other things. All you need to do is to check in on him(or her)from time to time to make sure everything is on track. So now you can have more time for your demanding boss.(less stressful, isn’t it)
Everything becomes the Planners HEADACHE, not yours.
That goes to say, he has to find a way to pull everything off. As to how he does it isn’t your problem. He has to fix any mess that comes up, not you.We don’t want you getting pimples on your wedding day!
If you are using an experienced planner, the better, because there wouldn’t be any need to panic especially if you have seen he’s previous works, ( its important you do a background check on your planner). With he’s experience, you could score some discounts on some great places he’s worked with before.
You’re falling in love already, aren’t you? Well, hold on. It may not be such a good idea after all.
Maybe your someone who’s obsessed with controlling everything. In that case, it wouldn’t be such a great idea to hire a planner – because you’d still be dead worried the entire time. And most likely, you’d end up doing everything on your own.
Also, if you’re working on a low budget, it wouldn’t be ideal to have a planner. It’s normally cost involving and with all the effort you’re making to cut corners, you can do without a planner. After all, what are friends for?(Helpful ones I mean)
Here’s the thing, it goes both ways. Such decisions are peculiar to each person’s circumstance and taste. The ball is in your court now!,so sit down, weigh your options and see what suits you and come up with the best plan. All the best!!!.
Happy Planning!.
